Hitoshi Motohara

Hitoshi Motohara,
Chairman and Director

Hitoshi Motohara joined Staffmark in 2011 as Chairman and Director, when Staffmark became a part of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd. Motohara is responsible for determining and formulating policies and overall direction of Staffmark in connection with business strategy, financial accounting, organizational structure, human resources, operations, and investments.

Motohara is the Senior Corporate Executive Officer of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Recruit is currently the fourth largest staffing firm in the world according to Staffing Industry Analysts' 2011 Global Staffing Ranking. Motohara is responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand Recruit's business internationally.

Motohara joined Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., in 1983, beginning his career with the company as a sales and marketing associate and rising to position of CEO of Recruit Media Communications. In 2003, he became CEO of Recruit Staffing and began expanding the company's staffing operations. In 2008, Motohara became CEO of Staff Services, the number one staffing firm in Japan, following Recruit's acquisition of the company.

He is a graduate of Hiroshima Shudo University, School of Law in Japan, and served for two years as the President of Japan Staffing Services Association.

Lesa J. Francis

Lesa J. Francis,
Chief Executive Officer, President and Director

Lesa J. Francis is President and Chief Executive Officer of Staffmark, one of the top ten commercial staffing companies in the United States. In 2011, Staffmark became part of Recruit, one of the top five staffing firms in the world.

With more than 25 years of staffing industry experience, Francis is known as an industry leader and successful innovator. She joined Staffmark in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer. In 2009 she was named President and Chief Operating Officer, and in 2011 was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Following an acquisition in 2008 that more than doubled the size of the company, Francis was responsible for creating a unified field leadership team, integrating operations, and developing a new brand identity. She created and implemented new vertical sales approaches, developed cross-selling processes, launched new training programs, and created a branch best practices program. Francis has also developed strategic partnerships designed to enhance Staffmark's service offerings.

Francis is a member of the American Staffing Association board of directors, the inaugural National Workforce Solutions Advisory Board, and has been named to Staffing Industry Analysts' list of the top 100 most influential people in the staffing industry.

Prior to joining Staffmark, Francis held the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development and Operations at Spherion. In that position she had national responsibility for their Staffing and Workforce Management business. Prior to her 14 years at Spherion, Francis held various positions with Adecco, from Branch Manager to Regional Vice President over her seven years with the company. She has a degree in Business Management from Northwest Missouri State University.

William E. Aglinsky

William E. Aglinsky,
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Bill Aglinsky joined Staffmark in October 2003 and is currently Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Aglinsky is responsible for leading the company's financial and accounting groups.

Prior to joining Staffmark, Aglinsky served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Management Recruiters International. He has also held senior financial management positions in industry and public accounting firms.

Aglinsky received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University, and is a Certified Public Accountant

Kathryn S. Bernard

Kathryn S. Bernard,
Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Kathy Bernard, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, has been with Staffmark since 1996. During her tenure, Bernard helped design and develop the company's self-insured and self-administered workers' compensation program, and developed related protocols and policies for workers' compensation, employment practices, loss control, safety, litigation, contracts, drug testing, and background checking.

Bernard is active in state and national legislative efforts that affect the staffing industry and has written numerous articles for specialty publications on workers' compensation issues and employee leasing. Previously, she was the Regional Vice President of Workers' Compensation, Unemployment and Employment practices for a national insurance brokerage.

Bernard received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Mary B. Lucas

Mary B. Lucas,
Chief Resource Officer

Mary B. Lucas is the Chief Resource Officer of Staffmark. She joined Staffmark in 2011 and is responsible for leading the company's sales, marketing, operations, training, service delivery, and talent acquisition support teams.

Mary has more than 30 years of staffing industry experience, beginning her career as a customer service representative and rising to her current executive position with Staffmark.

In 2006, she published the highly successful book, Lunchmeat & Life Lessons, a motivational memoir on how to bring out the best in yourself and others. As a result of her book’s literary success, she is now a frequently requested speaker for a variety of groups around the world and gives generously to support the work of the American Heart Association in honor of her parents who inspired her to become an author.

Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in marketing and communications from Kansas State University and her Executive Coaching Certification from Fielding Graduate University.

Suzanne M. Perry

Suzanne M. Perry,
Chief Human Resources Officer

Suzanne Perry, PHR, joined Staffmark in March 2001 and is responsible for the company's human resources, compensation, and benefits programs. She has worked in the human resource field since 1986 with an emphasis on employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruitment, selection, and legal compliance.

Prior to joining Staffmark, Perry held senior human resources positions, both domestic and abroad, at Fortune 500 companies. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and received her professional certification in 1994.

Perry received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University and her Master of Business Administration from Thomas More College.

Koji Sakamoto

Koji Sakamoto,
Chief Operating Officer

Koji Sakamoto joined Staffmark as Chief Operating Officer in 2011 when Staffmark became a part of Recruit Co., Ltd. Prior to joining Staffmark, Sakamoto served on the Board of Directors and as Senior Vice President of the Business Planning Team with The CSI Companies, Inc. While with The CSI Companies, Sakamoto assisted the CEO in creating policies and procedures, supporting the implementation of Recruit's unique management system, and developing the company's M&A strategy.

Sakamoto joined Recruit Co., LTD. in 1996 where he acquired specialized and proprietary knowledge of the company's services, sales, and marketing strategies as well as extensive knowledge of the company's legal policies and procedures. Koji holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Hitotsubashi University and a Certificate in E-commerce Management from San Jose State University.

Koji Sakamoto

Michael L. Whitmer,
Chief Information Officer

Michael L. Whitmer is Chief Information Officer for Staffmark. Whitmer is responsible for directing the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems, Internet and mobile business platforms, and technology support services.

He has more than 25 years of information technology experience, and has a strong background integrating technology into business operations.

Prior to joining Staffmark, Whitmer was the Global Chief Information Officer for Hudson Global, Inc. Before joining Hudson, he was the Vice President of Information Services for Spherion, and has held roles with Witness Systems and Turner Broadcasting Systems.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from West Georgia College.
